Giving Day Challenges
All times EST
“First Downs” First Hour Challenge (12:00 – 1:00 a.m.)
President William M. Downs will add $1,000 to the cause that receives the greatest number of donors in the first hour of the 24-hour day.
President’s Power Hour (6:00 – 7:00 a.m.)
In honor of Campbell’s sixth president, Dr. Downs will add $1,000 to the cause that secures the most donors during the sixth hour of Campbell Giving Day.
“Count Downs” Last Hour Challenge (11:00 p.m. – Midnight)
Dr. Downs will add $1,000 to the cause that raises the highest dollar amount during the final hour countdown.
Double Your Impact!
On Campbell Giving Day, lifetime trustee Bob Whiteman and Barbara Whiteman will match every gift to the Fund for Campbell, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000! Donations up to $2,500, per donor, will be matched 1:1.
1887 Donor Challenge ($1887)
Here’s your chance to make a memorable impact with your gift to Campbell! The school, unit or team with the most donors will receive an additional $1,887 towards student scholarships.
Paint the Map Orange Challenge
Michael (BBA ’03, MBA ’03) and Ida (BA ’00) Pond will make a $1,500 gift to the Fund for Campbell in honor of the state outside of North Carolina that has the most donors.
Power Hour for the Fund for Campbell (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.)
Woody Hathaway (BBA ’71, MBA ’93) will make a $1,000 gift to the University if 10 donations to the Fund for Campbell are made between 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Fund for Campbell Power Hours: Secure Some Swag!
(9:00 – 11:00 a.m. & 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.)
Donors who give a gift to the Fund for Campbell of $100 or more during the Power Hour Challenges on Campbell Giving Day will receive an 11×17 poster print of this Camel in the mail. Your gift of $100 or more must be made online to the Fund for Campbell during that hour to qualify for swag.
Orange Rush Hour (7:00 – 8:00 p.m.)
The area that secures the most donors between 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. will be awarded an additional $1,000 courtesy of Presidential Board of Advisors Chair Tara Wilson (BBA ’89).
Divinity School Matching Gift Challenge ($7,000 match)
A group of generous Divinity School supporters will match every gift to the Divinity School Annual Fund—dollar for dollar—up to $7,000. Your gift helps prepare faithful leaders for the church and world, and on Campbell Giving Day, it goes twice as far!
School of Engineering Challenge ($10,000 match)
The Campbell School of Engineering is teaming up with Mertek Solutions of Sanford, N.C. for Campbell Giving Day. Mertek will match every gift to the School of Engineering’s annual fund, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.
Top Campbell Law School Giving Day Matches
Campbell Law alumni and supporters are offering matching gifts as total giving reaches $5,000, $10,000 and $20,000. Make your gift to help unlock up to $35,000 in matching gifts for the Campbell Law School.
Campbell Law Alumni Association Class Reunion Challenge
The Campbell Law Alumni Association presents a class competition for all alumni classes (1979 – 2025). The class with the highest number of individual donors on Campbell Giving Day will earn a $5,000 gift from the Alumni Association in its honor. Write-in your class year when making your gift to join the challenge.
Campbell Law School Class Reunion Challenge Matches
Several alumni of classes celebrating upcoming reunions have offered to match gifts during Campbell Giving Day. Write-in your class year or which class year your gift is in honor of for match eligibility.
Pharmacy Network Foundation Community Pharmacy Lab Match
Your gift to the new Community Pharmacy Lab goes three times as far this Giving Day! Thanks to the Pharmacy Network Foundation, every $1 you give towards the lab will be matched with $2—up to $125,000 in total impact.
Fighting Camel Club Match
Daniel Polk (BS ’10), Fighting Camel Club member, will match every gift to the Fighting Camel Club—dollar for dollar—up to $25,000.
